It's time for another word exercise. I found it somewhat challenging to develop an original idea for engaging writing this time. Inspiration didn't strike me much during the process. However, I did manage to put something together.
This example illustrates the usefulness of these exercises. A topic offering minimal creative inspiration compels your brain to think swiftly and devise a workable solution.
In the upcoming exercise, I'm considering altering the approach slightly to maintain freshness and engagement. Stay tuned for the next instalment, and I hope you continue to find these both interesting and useful.

Everything seemed normal that day. I woke up at the same time as usual, followed the same skin and hair care routine, got dressed, and had breakfast. Nothing would suggest that life was going to change for me. I suppose I should have had some sort of inclination that something was off; people were definitely looking at me strangely on my way into the studio. People on the subway kept glancing at me and then looking away, with almost a disgusted look. It was odd, but this was New York, everyone was odd. The subway was a magnet for the weirdos.
It wasn’t until I got to my dressing room and into the makeup artist's chair that things became clear. The artist was busy getting various toners and highlights ready. I greeted him as usual, he said hi, without turning and we began to chat. He told the same joke that he told every morning, but this time, for some reason, I found it funnier than normal and laughed much harder. He stopped what he was doing and started talking, turning to face me. He stopped mid-word when he looked at my face and the smile he had turned to a frown; full of disgust and surprise. “What's wrong with your face, why didn’t you say anything”. It took me off guard and I grabbed the vanity mirror from the table. To my horror, a huge lump had formed beside my left nostril, around 2 inches in diameter. How did it get there and get so big in the time I had breakfast to this moment? It had only been an hour. What could have possibly caused it? I had so many questions, but above all, I was filled with utter shock and humiliation.
